Nurses Love Their Young Pledge

 As a nurse, I recognize the profound impact of a supportive, nurturing work environment on the well-being of our patients, colleagues, and ourselves. I AM committed to fostering a culture that connects deeply to the heart and leads with love. I ACCEPT LOVE AS MY MISSION, embracing it as the guiding force in my personal and professional journey.

I PLEDGE TO UPHOLD THE FOLLOWING PRINCIPLES:

  1. I pledge to EMBODY THE SPIRIT of “Nurses LOVE Their YOUNG,” recognizing that by lifting others with love and compassion, we elevate the entire profession and enrich the quality of care we provide our patients.

  2. I pledge to WELCOME and SUPPORT newly graduated nurses and student nurses with open arms as valuable members of our team. I appreciate the fresh perspectives they bring and embrace their journey with encouragement and unconditional love.

  3. I pledge to ADVOCATE for a culture of PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY, where all nurses feel valued, seen, heard, and supported in their professional growth, fostering an environment of trust, love, and compassion.

  4. I pledge to address mistreatment, bullying, or undermining behaviors COURAGEOUSLY and to actively work towards creating a workplace where such behaviors have no place, fostering a workplace where love leads every interaction.

  5. I pledge to SERVE AS A ROLE MODEL AND MENTOR, sharing my expertise, experience, and support to provide a safe, compassionate space by BEING AN AMBASSADOR OF PEACE AND LIGHT, leading by example through peaceful leadership in all interactions. I will actively promote harmony with compassion, striving to heal divisions and foster unity through understanding.

  6. I pledge to ACTIVELY LISTEN WITH MY HEART, to concerns, questions, and ideas of student nurses and newly graduated nurses and to respond with EMPATHY, COMPASSION, ENCOURAGEMENT, AND GUIDANCE.

  7. I pledge to PROMOTE LOVING BEHAVIOR and cultivate an environment, where every nurse feels empowered, valued, and supported to contribute, grow, and flourish.

  8. I pledge to CELEBRATE student and recently graduated nurses' success, contributions, and achievements, fostering a culture of GRATITUDE, joy, and acknowledgment.

 

By taking this pledge, I commit to leading with love, staying connected to my heart, and fostering a culture of love, nurture, and support within nursing. I will actively contribute to a workplace where all nurses feel loved, seen, heard, valued, supported, and empowered.
